Independent soul artist, and topline vocalist Yemi Bolatiwa has over recent yers been played on BBC Radio 1 & Kiss FM, with performances and features on BBC Introducing Manchester, BBC Radio Manchester and BBC 1Xtra singing her confessional tracks and as co-writer on many underground electronic releases. The London born soul singer hails proudly from the Manchester live music scene, versatile and vocally finessed. The debut tour solo tour in Dec 2023, expanded her audience and see's her live act set to hit any stage from a soulful trio her 6-9 piece ensemble with new songs and new dynamics blending soul, RnB and UK bass music. Influences include Sade, Lianne La Havas, Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu.

Yemi’s live act comes in versatile forms from a drum machine and synth lead electronic soul setup which she'll be bringing up to us this time round, to the full 6 piece ensemble with live drums, viola, keys, bass and guitar; always paying homage to Garage and DnB music in a live format. In 2023 she launched her 9 piece string quartet. Yemi’s soul music is ready for any habitat and crowd who appreciate dynamic fusion soul music , and exquisite vocals.

Yemi Bolatiwa is a multi-faceted fully independent artist vocal artist and has worked with labels and artists such as Josh Butler, Benny Page, Dope Ammo, Potent Whisper, Ed West and Jago (Tru Thoughts), Diversion (Colorize Music), Kill Miami, Mykroboy (Juno Records) Brian Brainstorm (Jungle Cakes) Uri Mood (Moai Records) Jade Parker, Piem, Danny Howard and Lauren Lo Sung (Nothing Else Matters), Szjana (Dance Regular), Joe Yorke (Rhythm Steady), Antony Szmeirek and more.
Yemi and the band have graced many of Manchester’s best stages, including Band on the wall, Soup kitchen, Albert Schloss, The 02 Ritz, Blues Kitchen (to name a few recent ones) and played venues from Soho to Brixton, north London to East (e.g.Dalston Eastern Curve, The Waiting Room). Needless to say this artist has a breath and depth of live experience with a refreshing take on soul fusion.
Yemi Bolatiwa supported Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Submotion Orchestra, Riot Jazz, The Skints, Ezra Collective and more, plus festival appearances include multiple ate the following; Brain Child Festival, Boomtown Fair, Kendal Calling Festival, Tramlines Festival, Beat Herder Festival, Soundwave, Croatia, Nass Fest Manchester Jazz Festival, Manchester International Festival, Mandrea Festival , Lake Garda Italy, Kendal Calling, Wilderness, 42 Degrees and debut headline tour in London, Leeds, Bristol and Manchester (December 2023).
